Spread the love

Ben Baker, the legislator of the state of Missouri (USA), who lost his daughter and son-in-law at the hands of armed gangs in Haiti, assured that their story should be told because it is an example of altruism. “They were the perfect example of a life in which we put others before ourselves.”

Davy and Natalie Lloyd were working as missionaries in Haiti when they were murdered last Thursday in the neighboring country after an attack by an armed gang.

He indicated that nowadays it is “rare to see” young people so altruistic and highlighted that both Natalie and Davy “loved Haiti.”

“The first time Natalie visited, she came back and said, “I fell in love with Haiti!” That love, devotion and determination defined them and their actions. Their sacrificed lives will endure for generations. Pray for us, we need strength and also pray for the Lloyd family,” the legislator posted on his social network X.

Through social media, legislator Baker has expressed his heartbreak over the murder of his daughter and son-in-law, noting that “words seem empty right now… Our hearts are broken.”

“We are grieving, but we want Davy and Natalie’s story to be told because it deserves to be told. They were the perfect example of a life in which we put others before ourselves. “A life of loving people so deeply that you would give your life for them even if some of them were full of hate,” the lawmaker wrote.
