SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican U-20 Men’s Soccer Team began a work module with the 31 soccer players who were summoned by the category’s coach, Alejandro Trionfini. Training will take place until Thursday, May 13 at the Parque del Este and Panamericano stadiums.

This first meeting will serve to get to know the group that will face the 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship that will take place in Mexico during the month of July.

The national team held its first session this Monday morning at the Parque del Este Soccer Stadium and in the afternoon completed the double round at the Pan American Stadium in San Cristóbal. Tuesday -double shift- and Wednesday morning they will train at Parque del Este, while on Thursday a training match against Delfines del Este is planned at the Quita Sueño Complex in the morning.

The players who were called for this first microcycle are:

Goalkeepers: César Geraldino (Bauger FC), Edwin Frías (Cibao FC), Amir Guzmán (O&M FC), Eduardo Tiburcio (Moca FC) and Anthony Núñez (Mansfield Town – England) – who took advantage of his coming to the country to expedite his passport process and join the concentration.

The defenders: Maximiliano Gerez (Delfines del Este), Josue Núñez (Cibao FC), Marcos Díaz (Delfines del Este), Sebastián Arias (Santa Fe FC), Ysaac Corcino (Atlético Pantoja), José Elías Martínez (Cibao FC), Abraham Mejía (Santa Fe FC) and Andrés Álvarez (Santa Fe FC).

Midfielders: Gabriel Brugal (Atlántico FC), Lucas Bretón (Cibao FC), Tairon Rodríguez (Moca FC), Ander Segura (Delfines del Este), Alex Rodríguez (Moca FC), Emmanuel Cuello (Barca Academy RD) and Felix Ruiz (Moca FC) .

Fronts: Carlos Sarante (Atlético Los Villanos), Esstiel Reyes (Cibao FC), Jordi Disla (Cibao FC), César Armando Peña (Punta Cana FC), Javier Roces (Cibao FC), Alan Martínez (Delfines del Este), Erlin Marte (O&M FC), Luiyi Guerrero (Punta Cana FC), Emmanuel Benazra (Santa Fe FC), Luís Andrés Reyes (Atlético Vega Real) and Fraimy Lapaix (OYM FC).

The national coaching staff is led by Professor Marcelo Neveleff as coordinator of youth teams, Alejandro Trionfini in the technical direction of Sedofútbol U-20, assisted by Modesto Arostegui, Edward “beba” Acevedo, José Félix Gutiérrez and Ecker Sánchez.

Diego De La Cruz (video analysis), Yinson Pulgarín (physical trainer), Geancarlos Martínez (goalkeeper trainer), Leonel Ramírez (doctor), Jordano Ramírez and Reyson Marcano (physiotherapists), and Kelvin Ovalle (prop) are also part of the team.
