Puntacana Resort and Club hosted the launch of the first event of Screen & Savor in the Cocoloba Hall of La Cana Golf & Beach ClubThe innovative concept fuses cinema and gastronomy to offer a unique sensory experience.

Screen & Savor promises to take attendees on an unforgettable culinary and cinematic journey. The first edition featured the screening of “Ratatouille,” a Disney-Pixar animated film that celebrates the passion for cooking, friendship and overcoming prejudices.

Luis Junior Pedemonteexecutive chef of La Cana Golf & Beach Club at Puntacana Resort, captivated diners with a seven-course menu inspired by the recipes in the film, which demonstrated his deep love for cooking and his boundless creativity in creating majestic dishes. Among the highlights of the night was “La Crema de Papas,” dubbed “Je L’ai improvise,” characterized by its fresh flavors of vegetables from the Puntacana Foundation and its crunchy touches of panco.

The most anticipated dish of the night, “Ratatouille”, stood out for its prominence and the culinary techniques used to make it a unique dish, unifying the incredible in the simple.

Each dish, meticulously prepared by the culinary team, was synchronized with key scenes from the film, complemented by a selection of French wines from El Catador, culminating in an experience that delighted all the senses.

The event was opened by Franchesca Pleasuresan outstanding graduate of the Puntacana International School and filmmaker recognized for her contribution to various community initiatives and film projects at national and international levels.
