The year 2025 will be one of the most important for the Government in terms of construction, especially road solutions and transportation improvements, with more than a dozen projects underway that will impact the lives of residents in the Great Saint Dominic.
All the works are scheduled to be inaugurated next year, such as line 2-C of the Santo Domingo Metro, which will connect with Los Alcarrizos, and the two-track Marginal that is being built parallel to line 2-C. In addition, the solution to the chaotic point of the February 27 extension with Isabel Aguiar, which will impact the southern region.
Likewise, the long-awaited Los Alcarrizos Beltway, which will be complemented by the Metro and the Cable Car, and will connect with the Santo Domingo Beltway; and the toll built by the Ministry of Public Works at kilometer 32 of the Duarte highway.
Likewise, the expansion of the Duarte highway at kilometer 9, which includes the transfer of the old Cibao bus station.
Another work is the solution to the eternal blockage that occurs on República de Colombia Avenue, which includes a tunnel that will exit in front of the Botanical Garden.
Line III of the Cable Car, which will link the María Montez Metro station with the sectors of Herrera, El Café and Haina, among others, is another construction in progress. Also, the extension of line 1 of the Santo Domingo Metro, after the Mamá Tingó station to the north; the toll and the Ecological Avenue, after the Pan-American Village, to connect with the port of Caucedo.
Another important work is the work carried out by the Ministry of Tourism with a fund of 90 million dollars from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), which seeks to revitalize the Colonial City and its surroundings.
With all these works, the Great Saint Dominic It is now a great center of public buildings.
