“For a life without violence We stand up for everyone and say enough is enough”, was the slogan that marked the activity organized by the Commission on Women, Children, Youth and Family of the Central American Parliament (Parlacen) for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against womenwhich is celebrated every November 25.
He event took place this Wednesday at the intersection of avenues Abraham Lincoln and February 27, in the National District.
The activity was led by the deputy dominican Esmeralda Mancebowho, along with other colleagues such as Silvia García Polanco, Krimilda Acosta, Michelle Ortiz, Socorro Monegro, Catalina Olea and Margarita Pimentel expressed their commitment to the fight against violence towards the women.

During the development of the activity, students from theater from the Mauricio Báez Modality in Arts Center carried out a representation artistic at the traffic light of the busy intersection.
With dramatizations, Dominican flags and posters, the young people transmitted the message of “No to violence against the women“, capturing the attention of passers-by who were passing by.

“From the hand of God, all types of abuse or evil can be eradicated, but it is necessary to have faith and also do our part,” Olea stated as a message to the women who are being victims of abuse.
