The National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) reported this Thursday that, of the 12 packages found inside the boat where 14 were found bones in San Juan RiverMaría Trinidad Sánchez province, three tested positive for cocaine and the others contained wood.
According to the analysis carried out by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) In Santiago, nine of the packages contained a piece of wood inside and the remaining three had cocaine.
The entity reported that it is carrying out the corresponding investigations to exchange information with the Senegalese authorities, in order to deepen the investigation into the arrival of the ship to the Dominican coast with the bones and the drug.

He explained that the identification process requires comparing the DNA of relatives with the genetic profiles of the deceased, who are currently believed to be from the African countries of Senegal and Mauritania, in northwest Africa.
