He guitarist flamenco Juan José “Niño” Josele Heredia will perform for the first time in the Dominican Republic with his “universal guitar“, in tribute to the teacher Paco de Lucia (1947-2014).
He concert intimateof celebration and memories in honor of the teacher who influenced him, and with whom he worked part of his career, will take place this Tuesday, December 3 at 8:30 pm at the Palace of Fine Arts with the sponsorship of the Sinfonía Foundation, the Embassy of Spain and the Iberia Airline.
In a telephone conversation with Free Diary, Child Josele expressed his happiness to debut in Quisqueyaa land that has visited in Travel and tourism plans.
“I like the music and the gastronomy of the country, above all it is a climate very similar to my homeland of Andalusia,” says Josele.

“We always say that the flamenco is a state of life. Am flamenco from the time I get up until I go to bed.”
For as long as he can remember, he has heard this string instrument coming from a family of musicians who sing, dance and play.
Son of Joselesinger from Almería, is a descendant of a long dynasty of guitar players and singers from Almería. His grandfather was a great guitaristalthough he never played professionally.
“My sister, my cousins, my uncles, they all sing, they dance, ha!” he said with his particular Andalusian accent. The first time he grabbed one guitar had seven yearsand he did it on his own. He learned the first chords only by watching adults.

“The first thing I said to Chick Korea was: “You have just ruined me right now (laughs), you don’t know the biggest responsibility you have mentioned, besides the fact that Paco was alive, it was a very serious thing.”
Every time he got on stage with Paco it was an experience. He remembers many things and, if he were alive, one of the things I would enjoy with him are the bulerías that they played together.
“Something magical was happening. There were auctions, there was a tremendous fusion“, dJosele clarifies.
