MSC Splendida joins the well-established MSC Pesía and MSC Armonía in the region with a new feature that allows an upgrade for loyal guests looking for a more exclusive experience, with the Yacht Club, which becomes another tool for agencies to sell premium services. MSC Splendida has 75% of its cabins with balconies offering panoramic views of the South American coast and its destinations, and for those looking for an added touch of luxury, the ship offers the MSC Yacht Club – the “ship within a ship” concept that offers an exclusive holiday sanctuary with 24-hour personalized butler service, private sundeck, as well as elegant facilities, luxurious rooms with a host of dedicated services.
“The incredible MSC Splendida will be making 14 calls at the Port of Buenos Aires during this summer, joining the offer designed for the Argentine market together with the MSC Poesia and the MSC Armonia, which will undoubtedly boost national and regional tourism and generate value for many sectors of economic activity,” commented Javier Massignani, general director of MSC Cruises Argentina and Latam. He added: “Reinforcing its presence in the country, this great news is due firstly to the great pre-sales carried out in the first half of the year and secondly to the support received from the national authorities based on the incentive policy for the current season, announced days ago. This great news further highlights the leadership of MSC Cruises in the region and in the port of Buenos Aires in particular(…)”
The Ports of Buenos Aires are very interested in extending the cruise season, and the Ministry of Tourism is expressly supporting the increase in private investment. In this sense, MSC has not stopped growing and today 50% of the arrivals to Argentine ports of vacation cruises belong to the Italian company. The said organization is also facilitating the permits and visas for crew so that they can disembark, tour and consume in the Argentine capital every time they call there.
Pablo Laudonia, sales manager, announced that a promotional sale will be launched on August 1 and encouraged Travel agencies to sell in advance since there will be strong discounts and benefits for that launch date, as reported REPORTUR.com(“MSC’s marketing by Travel agencies reaches 80%”)
MSC Splendida, destined for Argentine and Brazilian audiences, is the third ship to depart from the port of Buenos Aires in the 2024/2025 season. With 14 departures, on Mondays from December 16, 2024 to March 17, 2025, including Christmas and New Year’s departures. It will offer 7-night itineraries to the South of Brazil, visiting the exclusive Uruguayan town of Punta del Este and the incredible Brazilian beaches of Camboriú, Itajaí and Santos. For a total of 33 departures from Buenos Aires, along with the 14 departures of the MSC Poesia with 8- and 9-night itineraries and the 5 departures of the MSC Armonia with 7-night itineraries.
