This was reported to arecoa.com, Domenico Cacacedirector of operations of Grupo Martinón in the Dominican Republic, who highlighted the following projects of the Hotel group, which are the construction of two hotels in Brigantine Point, Puerto Platawhich will operate under the brands Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara and the upcoming opening of the Hyatt Centric Santo Domingo.
“The group has long been committed to tourism in the Dominican Republic, and continues to do so with future projects such as Punta Bergantín in Puerto Plata, where we plan to develop another one in the future, and I am sure that this will once again boost the tourist area of Puerto Plata, which was once the main tourist destination and the first in the Dominican Republic,” he said.
He said that, in addition, for the hotels in Puerto Plata, which are scheduled to begin construction on August 21, they are in the process of hiring indirect labor that will be needed to erect the buildings.
Meanwhile, Cacace reported that they plan to put the rooms for the city Hotel on sale in October-November, since its official opening will be in December 2024.
“The new establishment in Santo Domingo, the Hyatt Centric Santo Domingo, will be an urban brand in the market and will be a Hotel in one of the best areas of the capital city. We hope that it will be a point of reference in the capital for visitors and tourists who choose to visit SD,” he added.
The Hotel will have 130 rooms and suites, will have a 24-level design and will occupy an area of 3,206.19 m², integrating Hotel, business, gastronomy and units with services for medium-term stays.
The first level will house the commercial premises, the Hotel lobby, as well as the office and suite lobbies. The gastronomic atrium will also be there, with spaces for rest and recreation. It will have six underground levels with 480 parking spaces available.
Meanwhile, the first hotels in Punta Bergantín will provide the area with 800 rooms, and will entail an investment of more than US$200 million.
It is recalled that with the projections of the Martinón Group in the Dominican Republic, its luxury and lifestyle brand footprint is broadened with a solid development portfolio of more than 30 hotels and resorts planned in the Americas region until 2025, including the expansion of Hyatt brands in new markets.
