The Minister of Civil Aviation and Airport Infrastructure of Equatorial Guinea, Norberto Bartolome Monsuy Mañe Andemeexplained on the country’s public television that the accident was due to adverse weather conditions. “There was very little visibility and water on the runway,” which caused “the plane to slide,” he said. Initial reports indicate that there were a small number of injuries, none of them serious.
