The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC) and Global Air Navigation Services (GANS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to implement a cooperation agreement on training aimed at the areas of interest of both institutions.
The agreement, which involves the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences (ASCUS), from IDAC and GANS, from Arab Emirateswas formalized during the third day of the Global Symposium on the Implementation of the ICAOwhich takes place in the tourist community of Punta Cana.
The document signed by Hector Porcellageneral director of IDAC and Yahya Al Hammadiexecutive director of GANS, contemplates the development of a collaboration and academic exchange program for the benefit of technical personnel and accredited students from both countries.
One of the objectives of the Memorandum of Understanding is to support cooperation for aeronautical instruction in the development and delivery of training programs, as well as explore the exchange of training courses and instructors, explore marketing and promotion opportunities; and, develop joint collaboration activities.
Both the IDAC and GANS will collaborate mutually in the training of skills and instructors, development and/or joint delivery of courses, in the field of Human Resources Management (HRM) and in the development of Human Resources (HRD) and its personnel .
The IDAC, as a specialized technical entity, is responsible for the supervision and control of civil aviation in the Dominican Republic, with the mission of regulating, certifying, monitoring, providing air navigation services and promoting the sustainable development of civil aviation, supervising compliance. of national and international standards and managing operational safety in the aeronautical activity of the DR.
Meanwhile, GANS is a leading provider of air navigation services, with services provided to 18 units, 2 approach and 16 airfields in the United Arab Emirates, including Abu Dhabi International Airports, managing more than 740,000 air traffic movements. year.
GANS training center is a training organization approved by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA); It is also a Regional Training Center of Excellence (RTCE) of the ICAO TRAINAIR Plus Program (TPP).
