Next December the president Luis Abinader will complete four years donating his net salary of 340,000 pesos per month and his double salary to charities and people in need.

The president receives a remuneration gross of 450,000 pesos per month, to which discounts for 115,851.49 pesos, leaving 334,148.51 pesos.

Abinader promised in October 2020, with barely two months in power, that he would donate his salary to social causes. From December of that year until September 2024, the amount granted amounts to 19,440,014.23 pesos, according to a report delivered to Free Diary by the Presidency.

According to the report, that money has reached 56 charities oriented to work in different lines: agingfood care, community aid, sports, disabled, special education, children, youth, rehabilitation, religious, health and social and community.

The Crea International Homes Foundation was favored with 676,000 pesos in February 2022 for the purchase of food of internal and general expenses.
