SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican Golf Federation, together with Mastercard Banreservas, announced a 15% cash back discount for federated members who register through the Fedogolf AAP in the 57th edition of the National Stroke Play Championships, using Mastercard Banreservas cards.
The 2024 edition will be played on the famous Dientes de Perro, Dye Fore and The Links fields in Casa de Campo, La Romana, from May 30 to June 2, this event being a qualifying tournament for the National Match Play Championships that will be played later this year.
The National Championships constitute the most important local competitive event that Fedogolf holds annually, with a view to determining the national champion in this discipline in the country.
The event will once again have the professional category, with a purse of 600 thousand pesos, of which 300 thousand are for first place, reported Enrique Valverde, president of Fedogolf, who added that the other 300 thousand will be distributed among the following nine places.
In this edition, the participation of more than 240 national and international golfers is expected, in which it will be the most important event of the year 2024 and in turn is the longest running of the institution since its founding.
In this competition, always awaited by golfers, they will compete, in addition to the professionals, in the A, AA, B, C, D, Mid-Amateur, Senior A and Super Senior A categories, while the ladies will play A and B, as well as Senior B and C.
The Tournament Committee will be composed of Messrs. Luis Jose Placeres, Rafael Canario, Tulio Luna, Cesar Rivera and Andrea Attus, rules officials certified by the USGA and/or the R & A and will have Mariel Mercado as Enc. by Scores.
