The Tourist Cluster of the Puerto Plata Destination (CTDPP), as a management ally, met with a commission of officials from the municipality’s Mayor’s Office Villa Montellano to manage the tourist projection that the municipality exposes, a product of the development of Brigantine Point.
The meeting, headed by Birgitt Heinsenpresident of the CTDPP and the mayor, Hector Almonte, It served as a stage for the parties to present the projects in which both entities can generate better ties based on the ambitious project being developed in the area.
The Cluster board expressed its full willingness to be a support entity for the organization and removal plans scheduled by Mayor Almonte’s management.
As first steps, they identified public interest in urgently declaring the structuring of a Municipal Territorial Planning Plan for the municipality of Villa Montellano, a request to which the Cluster and its allied entities would join.
Other actions were socialized to be implemented in alliance, in the short term, which aim to support the transformation of said municipality and its areas of tourist potential.
For the Cluster, the directors of the José Natalio Redondo Cluster, founding member of the institution, participated; Carlos Rodolí, president of the Northern Hotels and Restaurants Association (Ashonnorth) and César José de los Santospresident of the board of directors of the Association of Hotels, Condominiums and Commercial Establishments of Playa Dorada, among others.
Meanwhile, the City Council commission was made up of Councilor Dolores Lantigua, president of the Chapter House; Ricardo Javier, director of the Urban Planning department, and Félix Mario Balbuena, Communications and Public Affairs advisor.
