On the other hand, the main coalition opposition -Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD)- insists that his candidate, Edmund González Urrutia – exiled in Spain since September 8 – won the Presidency by a wide margin, and has been in charge of disseminating “83.5% of the electoral records” that would demonstrate that outcome, despite the fact that the ruling party calls them “false.” “.

“Everyone knows it”

To commemorate the three months, the leader opposition Maria Corina Machado, the main supporter of González Urrutia, released a documentary that reviews the day of the voting and reiterates the complaint of fraudunder the slogan that “the fight is until the end”, as he always says, which aims to get the chavismo of power, which he came to democratically in 1999.

Machado, whose whereabouts he keeps secret due to threats of jail by the Executive, assures that “everyone knows” that Ripe lost the elections and based on that “certainty” – he continues – instances, among others, the Parliament European Parliament or, just today, the Chamber of Panama, approve resolutions in which they recognize González Urrutia as president-elect of Venezuela.

With this kind of support, almost all of it symbolic, the PUD has maintained its claim, as well as the demand of the release of nearly 2,000 people – including 68 minors – who remain in prison, after having been detained in the post-election context, some in the midst of protests against the “fraud“and others in police and military operations.

“Impunity is over”

In a more celebratory tone, the chavismo organized events in Caracas and other cities to commemorate “the three months of the victory of the peace“, according to information broadcast by the state channel Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), which describes Ripe as the winner against the “coup plans” of the opposition and “imperialism.”

The president himself recalled July 28 as the day of a “strong triumph popular” that he gave him, according to the bulletin of the CNE51.95% of the votes to remain in power.
