Within the framework of the ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS), the country has been honored for its tireless work in strengthening aviation safety in the North American, Central American and Caribbean region (NACC). The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) recognized the commitment and dedication of RD for the eleventh consecutive year and on this occasion highlighting its crucial role in supporting Member States in matters of operational safety.
In a gesture that highlights the importance of commitment, determination and value of teamwork, Pilot Brigadier General Floreal Suárez Martínezreceived the award as general director of the Specialized Corps for Airport Security and Civil Aviation (Cesac) which expressed “Training Plus, aviation security training, significant contribution to assist Member States in the NACC region since 2013.”
The present leadership of the specialized body has been fundamental in promoting initiatives that promote world-class safety standards in the region, which has contributed significantly to raising the confidence and effectiveness of the civil aviation sector in the NACC.
This recognition not only celebrates the achievements of the Dominican Republic in the airport security and civil aviation sector, but also underlines the country’s commitment to being a reliable and proactive partner in promoting safe and sustainable practices in regional civil aviation.
