The Dominican Republic was recognized as the “Best Island/Destination in the Caribbean” for the fourth consecutive year in the 12th edition of the annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards 2024 by the specialized magazine Global Traveler.
Other winners included Greece, Best International Historic Attractions, for the third year in a row, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Best National Historic Attractions.
Thailand, Best International Adventure Destination, two years in a row, and Alaska, Best National Adventure Destination.
Aruba appears in first place for Best Beaches. Santorini maintains its title of Best Island in Europe for the eleventh consecutive year.
The Islands of Tahiti award for Best Island in the Pacific Rim, for the second consecutive year. Amelia Island, Florida, becomes the Best Island in the United States.
Telluride, Colorado, earned the award for Best North American Ski Destination for the sixth consecutive year. Whistler, British Columbia, takes the title of Best International Ski Destination for the third year in a row. For golfers, Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is the best place to play golf.
