The Secretary of Organization of the Modern Revolutionary Party, Deligne Ascencionassured this Wednesday that the “strong, organized and united” structure of that political entity led it to the electoral successes of 2020 and 2024, always attached to the principle that “nothing and no one” is above the general interests of the people and of the party.

He said that the structural strength and party unity, “together with the extraordinary institutionalist and constructive work of the government of President Luis Abinader and allies have turned the PRM in the first and largest political and social force of the 21st century, not only in the Dominican Republic, but in the Caribbean and Central America” in just ten years.

“We managed to consolidate ourselves as a modern, balanced, transparent and close political force, a party that governs by listening, learning and evolving in accordance with the demands of each day,” he expressed within the framework of the conference “The country that Luis builds”, which he dictated to Perremeís leaders, legislators and mayors, as well as invited professionals and intellectuals.

“We are a party that build trust, security and does not support improper practices, and our unity and constant renewal are the key to the strength that keeps us growing and gaining the support especially of young people, women, university students, professionals, technicians, intellectuals and leaders of public opinion and social networks,” argued the engineering professional, who addressed those present in his capacity as a citizen and political leader.

Ascención attributed the increase in confidence of national and international investors to “political stability, the ethical use of public funds, transparency and institutional strengthening, the greatest legal security in our republican history, modernization and efficiency in customs and the national tax system.

“We now have more and better jobs in free zones, agroindustry, commerce and tourismwith extraordinary general growth that increased our leadership as the leading economy, market and destination in the Caribbean and Central America,” he highlighted.

He highlighted: “This growth has been achieved with inflation control that closes this year, according to data from the Central Bank endorsed by ECLAC and the IMF, with an inflation of 3.6%, one of the lowest in the region. Stability monetary policy and interest rates are other outstanding elements of the Dominican economy.”

He also said that the country currently has the lowest unemployment rate, exceeding 5% of the unemployment open. “These achievements achieved by the government have greater relevance if we observe the adverse global context in which they have been achieved,” said the Minister of Public Works, also highlighting the development of the productive sectors and the implementation of social policies in the country.
