The Civil Aeronautics Directorate of Colombia has imposed its conditions to authorize the agreement between Iberia and Air Europa, which is pending approval from the European Commission. Both companies must commit to guaranteeing at least 4 weekly non-stop frequencies between Medellin and Madrid.

As of the closing of the transaction, Iberia and Air Europa “will have the obligation to maintain, as a whole and in total, at least 4 weekly non-stop frequencies between Medellín and Madrid and 119,808 round-trip non-stop seats per year, per year. a maximum period of 3 years.
Finally, it is clarified that, “as of the date of publication of this communication, the Transaction has not yet materialized, so that the conditions described will only be enforceable once the Closing of the Transaction materializes, a fact that will be informed by Iberia and Air Europa through its websites.
