During the six-year term of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), the owner of the Cancún airport, Fernando Chico Pardo, was one of the millionaire businessmen in Mexico who managed to double his fortune, as he had a growth of 220%.
Despite AMLO’s policies regarding the recovery of salaries, increases in employer contributions, decent vacations, among other changes, Chico Pardo’s businesses benefited.
However, he was not the only one. There is also Carlos Slim, who also increased his fortune, although not in the same proportions as Chico Pardo, since it grew by 52.1%. Likewise, they will continue to count on the growth of their businesses, since Mexico’s policies will continue to be in the hands of Claudia Sheinbaum, the president-elect, who is in line with those of AMLO, as reported by Mi Bolsillo.
As reported by REPORTUR.mxChico Pardo is already among the 10 richest people in Mexico. In 2018, he had an estimated fortune of USD 1,000 million, and now he has USD 3.2 billion, reaching an increase of 220%. (Cancún: owner of the airport, one of the few enriched by AMLO).
This businessman is known as the man “who controls the sky,” since the group manages airports such as Cancún, Cozumel, Huatulco, Mérida, Minatitlán, Oaxaca, Tapachula, Veracruz, Villahermosa and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
