A captain of the Army of the Republic was killed by two bullet impacts on Sunday morning when he was heading to San Cristóbal in a concho car. The incident occurred on the Sánchez highway in the Ana Ramírez sector.
The information was confirmed by the Police National. He said that the official Roberto Done de la Rosa was attacked by men traveling on a motor and “they fled.”
The victim received the shots in the head and the neck.
Diego Pesqueiraa spokesman for the police, explained to Diario Libre that the victim was in a concho car as a passenger when he was hit. He added that the case was now being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department (Dicrim).
“Until now, he was riding in a public transport car called a concho and they shot him without saying a word (…), but they shot him inside the vehicle,” he added.
He explained that, according to preliminary reports, the victim was traveling along the Sánchez highway in the Ana Ramírez sector. The incident occurred at 6:40 in the morning.
When questioned about whether he had been brought his weapon of regulation to the victim, the spokesperson of the Police He said he understood that was not the case.
“Two people on board a motorcycle they shot that guy captain for reasons that are under investigation and they fled,” he said.
