American Airlines inaugurated its 28th destination in Mexico with new daily service connecting Veracruz International Airport with Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
This new Flight, operated by Envoy Air as American Eagle, uses an Embraer E175 with capacity for 76 passengers. The aircraft landed in Veracruz last Wednesday at 11:50 am and departed for Dallas-Fort Worth at 1:03 pm
“American has had a record year in Mexico and we are proud to continue solidifying our position as the largest US airline in the country with new Flights to Veracruz,” said José María Giraldo, general director of operations for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean of AA.
“Whether for business or pleasure, we know Veracruz will be a popular destination for our customers flying to and from Dallas-Fort Worth and beyond, providing access to our largest hub in the United States with more than 925 daily Flights to more than 230 destinations,” he added.
For his part, Iván Martínez, Secretary of Tourism of Veracruz, stated that direct connectivity between Veracruz and Dallas is an alternative to attract tourism not only to Veracruz, but to all of southern Mexico.
American recently inaugurated new daily service to Tijuana from Phoenix and launched new service to Tulum from DFW, Miami and Charlotte. With this network growth, American will operate up to 690 weekly Flights this summer from 28 destinations in Mexico, representing an increase in seat capacity of 5.5% compared to the same period in 2023.
