The anthology poetics Second book of forgetfulness, of poetjournalist and filmmaker Alfonso Quinones will be presented this Saturday, November 9 at 7:00 pm in the Sala de las Academies of the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National Library, as part of the programming of the International Book Fair.
He bookpublished by the editorial Hypermedia (USA-Spain), will be presented by the poetessayist, editor and academic José Rafael Lantigua, who will accompany the author and the director of the editorial Ladislao Aguado.
He book It is introduced by a series of cards of the poet Rafael Alcides Pérez (1933-2018) in which he values the work of Alfonso Quinonesand an article from poet and journalist Raúl Rivero (1945-2021), published in the newspaper El Mundo, from Spain about the previous anthology Book of Oblivions (2012)
Second book of oblivions is a selection of authorwhich proceeds to the Libro de los olvidos, published by the National Editor.
This second anthology gather books included in that one, such as Cuarto rentado (Ediciones Unión, Havana, 1988), which won the David Prize for Poetry and the XX Anniversary Prize of that contest for the best book among all genders; and you go through the night (Cuban Letters, 1991); The horseshoe on the door (Ediciones Unión, 1991); and For pure love: strange loves are possible (Estudio y Color, Medellín, Colombia, 1994).
For the first time they are published under the title Decimeriesa selection made by himself authorof all his tenthsfrom 1979 to date. Just as the books until now unpublished Losing absences, and Universalis existentie, written in the Dominican Republic, where he has lived for almost 24 years.

About him author
- Alfonso Quinones (Cuba, 1959), he was nationalized as a Dominican by extraordinary presidential decree. For 15 years it was editor of Diario Libre Magazine, in 2018 he founded the digital newspaper Nota Clave and since 2021 he has served as editor general of Culture and entertainment of the Caribbean and the CDN television channel. Is author also from book Andy Montañez, the human being and the artist (Puerto PublishingSan Juan, Puerto Rico, 2002).
- He is producer and host of the TV program Confabulations; producer and screenwriter of the feature-length docudrama Dossier de absences (Best production of the Trieste festival, Italy, 2022) and co-producer, co-writer and co-director of The King of Merenguein post-production. He founded the Dominican Association of Press and Film Criticism (Adopresci).
- He has become a creditor of the awards The Best of DR magazine Market (2018); Epifanio Lantigua of Tourism Journalism (2019); SFM Magazine Awards 2024 Man of the Year.
