The Copa América soccer tournament, which will be played in 14 cities in the United States, will receive tourists from at least 16 countries involved in the tournament.
As anticipation for the event reaches its peak, views of spaces offered on the Airbnb platform in the venues where the tournament will take place increased by 40% for game days compared to the previous year.
At the Latin American level, travelers from the following countries are the ones that helped drive the greatest growth in views of spaces offered on Airbnb in the destinations that will have tournament games: Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil.
Atlanta and Jersey City, where the Argentina national team is scheduled to play, saw some of the largest increases in listing views offered on Airbnb during game dates compared to the same period last yearrising up to 350%
Miami will host the final game on July 14 and Airbnb listing views in the area are up 10%. «It is well known that Latin Americans are passionate about football, so it is not a big surprise that fans from all over the region make the long trip to support their teams, participate in the celebration and, ultimately, have the opportunity to witness history,” said Jordi Torres Mallol, Americas director for Airbnb.
