Argentine Airlines has redoubled its commitment to the segment of travelers seeking to reach Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, one of the main tourist centers of the Caribbean, with new routes from the Argentine interior and with more capacity from Buenos Aires.
In September, the state-owned company will begin to operate four weekly Flights between Cordova and Punta Cana, two more than originally announced. Operations will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, allowing access not only to the public from Córdoba but also to those from other provinces thanks to the hub at the Ing. Ambrosio Taravella airport.
On the other hand, between January and March 2025, Aerolíneas Argentinas will have two new routes that will connect Punta Cana with Rosario and Tucumán, in both cases with a weekly Flight on Fridays and Sundays respectively.
“These new routes seek to satisfy the growing demand for direct Flights to holiday destinations without having to go through Buenos Aires,” the company said.
“A significant advantage of these new Flights to Punta Cana from Córdoba, Rosary and Tucuman “This is the possibility of boarding from Aeroparque as a domestic Flight, with a stopover and immigration in the aforementioned cities. Passengers will be able to continue their journey on the same aircraft, which makes the process easier and improves the Flight experience,” they added.
For routes between Buenos Aires and Punta Cana, Aerolíneas Argentinas will begin operating six weekly Flights this summer, all with Airbus A330-200 aircraft with capacity for 269 passengers.
“This increase in the number of Flights is part of a strategic plan designed to improve the productivity of Aerolíneas Argentinas. The incorporation of more efficient and profitable aircraft into the company’s fleet has been key to expanding routes and competing more effectively in the market. Recently, the airline incorporated a new Boeing 737-MAX, the third so far this year and the twelfth in its fleet. These aircraft are ideal for covering domestic and medium-range regional routes, allowing for increased frequencies and offering a higher quality service,” the airline’s statement concludes.
The new route between Córdoba and Punta Cana will begin on September 13 with two weekly Flights, offering 680 seats operated with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Starting January 1, 2025, the number will increase to four weekly Flights, which will extend until April 19, 2025, when the number will return to two Flights per week, which will be maintained throughout the year.
