Playa Hotels & Resorts will sell the Jewel Palm Beach luxury Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, for USD 68 million.
However, the sale agreement is still subject to customary conditions, so the Hotel chain has stated that it offers no guarantees that the sale will be completed. Playa Hotels & Resorts expects the transaction to be completed during the third quarter of the year.
Jewel Palm Beach opened its doors nearly two years ago, the first Hotel of the Jewel Resorts brand in the Dominican Republic. The hotelier’s portfolio includes 25 resorts with 9,127 rooms in Mexico, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
As reported by REPORTUR.mxMarriott announced an alliance with Hotel operator Playa Hotels & Resorts to add a new Hotel in the Mexican Caribbean: Paraíso de la Bonita, a Luxury Collection Adult All-inclusive Resort, Riviera Maya.
