A low pressure zone in the central Atlantic Ocean has increased its probability of developing into a cyclone in the next seven days to 40%, according to information from the National Hurricane Center (CNH), released by the National Meteorological Service.
This phenomenon is under constant surveillance by state authorities due to the probability that it will become a tropical depression next week. It is located approximately 3,000 kilometers east of the coast of Quintana Roo and is moving west at a speed of 24 kilometers.
The NHC explained that the tropical wave in the central Atlantic Ocean is generating disorganized showers and thunderstorms, highlighting that atmospheric conditions in the Atlantic favor the gradual development of this system. The Center projects that the system will continue its trajectory toward the west-northwest across the eastern Caribbean Sea in the middle of next week.
In this regard, Governor Mara Lezama invited people, through her social networks, to stay informed through official media.
The 2024 Atlantic hurricane season could be one of the most intense on record, according to the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). as anticipated REPORTUR.us (Mexican Caribbean: Hurricane season could be one of the worst).
