The authorities dismantled a network dedicated to the theft and marketing of vehicle parts for sale in Villa Juana and Villas Agrícolas, achieving the recovery of 33 tires and 17 rims reported stolen from vehicles parked in different areas of the National District and in the interior of the country.

The operation was carried out by agents of the National Policeassigned to the Department II of Investigations of Crimes and Crimes against Property (Robberies), of the Central Investigation Directorate (Dicrim), in coordination with the Public Ministry through the search warrant No. 2024-AJ0031437 in a commercial establishment located on Aníbal de Espinosa street, corner of Moca street, Villa Juana sector and another on 28th street, corner of 30th street, in the Villas Agrícolas sector.
In the operation they resulted detained Luigi Nova Cadete, William César Camacho alias Willy Gomas, Diego Rosario Sánchez, Milton Cherit alias el Haitiano, and Enmanuel Javier Herrera, who were part of the alleged criminal structure dedicated to the theft and marketing of vehicle spare parts.
Leader caught
According to the investigation report, Willy Gomas led a criminal network dedicated to stealing spare parts, especially tires and rims, from vehicles of high economic value in the National District and other provinces.
It should be noted that Willy Gomas has been subjected on several occasions and in different areas of the country for the same crime.
One of the detainedNova Cadete, declared that the stolen tires were sold to Diego Rosario, owner of the raided premises identified as DRS Comercial. According to Nova, Rosario bought the stolen spare parts for an amount of RD$4,500 each, and then market them.
Modus operandi
Nova Cadete explained that, together with Milton Cherit (the Haitian), they used a SUV KIA Sorrento, white, owned by a rent-car in the Ensanche Ozama sector, and other vehicles that they also rented, to carry out robberies in Santiago and other provinces.
The crimes were committed using techniques of neglect in areas high traffic strategies.
Legal actions
