Europcar Dominican Republicleader in sustainable mobility and Operational Leasing, delivered more than 100 electric units to CEPM (Punta Cana-Macao Energy Consortium), Evergo, GEDOM, InterEnergy Systems and CEBall of them part of the group InterEnergy.

With this, the company marks a milestone in the transition towards a cleaner and more efficient future in the region, strengthening Europcar’s leadership in the electric mobility sector in the Dominican Republic.

During the event, which took place at the Evergo-Connect Charging Station on the Eastern Tourist Boulevard, Europcar Dominicana’s commitment to sustainability was highlighted, emphasizing the importance of operational leasing as a tool to promote the use of electric vehicles in the country.

“This is a momentous step towards a cleaner and more sustainable future. The delivery of these electric fleets reaffirms our mission to lead the change towards greener and more efficient mobility,” he said. Emilia Rosario, general manager of Europcar.

“We are proud to collaborate with CEPM and its partner companies in this joint effort to reduce carbon emissions and promote the use of renewable energy,” he added.

On his side, Oscar San Martin, CEO of CEPM, thanked Europcar Dominicana for its dedication and vision, noting that this alliance is essential to achieve the sustainability goals of this company and continue promoting the development of electrical infrastructure in the country.

“From our vision of leading the way to cleaner mobility, we have achieved a momentous milestone: today, 100% of our fleet operates on electric power. This transformation not only reflects our capacity for innovation, but also reaffirms our commitment to the global EV100 initiative in the shared commitment to accelerate the decarbonization of transport,” he said.

The vehicle delivery ceremony was accompanied by an exhibition of the electric units, where attendees were able to learn about the features and benefits of these vehicles that are part of the new fleet. In addition, a new Europcar station was inaugurated at the Evergo-Connect electric charging station, one of the most advanced in the country, which will facilitate access to short- and long-term electric vehicle rentals. This initiative reflects Europcar Dominicana’s commitment to innovation and care for the environment.
