Pichardo stressed that the heliport’s greatest importance lies in the fact that Santiago does not have a specialized structure like the one that will be built to deal with emergency situations and carry out safe evacuations.
He indicated that the work had already been tendered and awarded, in accordance with the provisions of Law 340-06 on Purchases and Contracts, respecting all the corresponding regulations.
