The Salgado Filho airport, in Porto Alegre, Brazil canceled its operations until May 30. The terminal is flooded due to the heavy rains that have hit the Rio Grande do Sul region for a week.
Waiting areas, passenger circulation areas and even airplane landing areas are flooded. The site is closed due to the rise in the level of the Guaíba, which exceeded 5 meters and overflowed.
For its part, the Brazilian Airlines Association recommends that passengers contact the airline directly to make reservation changes or refunds.
