Flights between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico operate normally this Thursday after the passage of Hurricane Ernesto Category 1 storm that intensified in recent hours with maximum sustained winds reaching 130 kilometers per hour on its way to Bermuda.

This was reported by Luis Jose LopezDirector of Communications for Dominican Airports Siglo XXI (Aerodom). «Flights from Saint John They arrived and left as scheduled,” according to Hoy.

It is recalled that Ernesto caused the cancellation of 145 Flights at the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Puerto Rico.

According to a statement from Aerostar, the airport’s operator, air operations have resumed following an inspection process of the facilities.

The meteorological phenomenon has caused flooding, road closures and a major power outage affecting almost half of the island, where 716,392 customers (48.79%) are without electricity.
