It could be said that Adriano Assis and José Felipe were reborn this Saturday. Both were passengers on Voepass Flight 2283 that was supposed to cover the route between Cascavel and Sao Paulo. But both made the same mistake: they arrived at Cascavel airport and noticed that there was no one at the Latam counter where they usually check in. Both normally traveled with Latam and not Voepass.

Until, after a while, each one in a different way, they realized their mistake: the Latam Flight had not left nor was it going to leave because they had the Flight with VoePass. They both quickly went to the airline counters, but they found that the doors had been closed. “I argued with the staff, but there was no way they would let me on,” Assis tells the media. That stubborn VoePass employee “saved my life,” he celebrates.

José Felipe’s case was similar. He also arrived very late to boarding because he had confused the person who was flying and was also denied access. “Thank God I didn’t make it to that Flight,” he explained to the media, clearly emotional.

In the meantime, it has been clarified that the plane had had a normal Flight from its origin until the beginning of its descent to Sao Paulo. During the first hours, due to a technical failure, one of the online radars that record Flights had recorded absolutely erratic speeds of the crashed ATR, which had led many experts to express their astonishment at the development of the Flight. The company that owns the radars said that the plane flew normally but that there was a technical problem in the recording of the data.

The clearest clue at the moment is that of ice on the wings, as there was an ice risk warning for the 19,000 feet altitude at which the aircraft was flying. However, both Finnair and Air Greenland operate this type of aircraft and it is well known that weather conditions in their territories are very cold.

As reported REPORTUR.coman ATR-72-500 of the Voepass airline travelling from Cascavel to Sao Paulo crashed in a residential area as it approached its destination airport. All 62 people on board have lost their lives (58 passengers and four crew members). (Tragedy in Brazil: 62 dead in an air accident)
