The President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinaderled the Hotel‘s opening ceremony Secrets Tides Punta Cana Resort & Spa, of the chain, Hyatt Inclusive Collection, a luxury property with an adults-only concept, featuring 668 rooms.
At the ribbon cutting, the head of state was accompanied by David ColladoMinister of Tourism; Alvaro Pena, Sara Pena, Juan Carlos Pendones and Sigismund Lopezowners of the project, as well as Rene GrullonSenior Executive Vice President of National and International Business at Banco Popular Dominicano; Enrique Martinonpresident of Grupo Martinón and Daniel Hernandez, Vice President of Operations for the Dominican Republic and Colombia at Hyatt Inclusive Collection.
During the event, Hernandez said that “this is an exciting time for Hyatt Inclusive Collection as we continue to strengthen our presence and experience rapid growth throughout the Latin America and Caribbean region. We continue to make intentional and strategic moves for the expansion of our brand, Hyatt Inclusive Collection and further solidify its position as the largest All-inclusive luxury Resort chain in the world, including the debut of Secrets Tides Punta Cana.”
The businessman Álvaro Peña, owner of Secrets Tides Punta Cana, shared during the ceremony: “What we have achieved at Secrets Tides is the fruit of work, accumulated experience and coherence in the relationship for the creative effort of the public and private sectors in our country. This shared effort has created this great industry that is tourism in five decades.”
“Tourism has transformed us as a company and as people, we have changed the lives of thousands of people, we have contributed to the growth of the middle class and in our initiatives women have had an important space and opportunities,” he said when addressing those present.
The property, which generates some 2,435 direct and indirect jobs, offers its guests a total of seven bars, including a modern contemporary sports bar and nine gourmet à la carte dining options, such as the Mediterranean restaurant Meraki, as well as Portofino and Tierra, among others.
