Iberia and Volaris have announced their codeshare alliance to expand the connection between Europe and Mexico. Passengers will be able to fly with Volaris between 25 national destinations and Mexico City, and connect with Iberia Flights to Madrid.
Although the alliance is still in the approval process, both by the authorities of Mexico and Spain, the airlines anticipate that it will be available in the month of July, which will benefit passengers, as they will be able to fly with a Spanish airline to Madrid on three Flights. daily, which total 772,000 seats during the year.
The route between Spain and Mexico is operated by Iberia with an A350 aircraft, with a capacity of 348 seats, which consumes 35% less fuel than other models. “With this collaboration agreement we reaffirm our commitment to Mexico, one of our main markets. The destinations offered by Volaris in connection are: Acapulco, Cancún, Chetumal, Chihuaha, Ciudad Juárez, Cozumel, Culiacán, Guadalajara, Hermosillo, Huatulco, Ixtapa Zihuatañejo, La Paz, Los Mochis, Mazatlán, Mérida, Mexicali, Monterrey, Oaxaca, Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Escondido, San Juan del Cabo, Tapachula, Tijuana, Tuxla Gutiérrez and Villahermosa.
