They will sue groups for blocking hotel areas

The president of the Hotel Council of the Mexican Caribbean, Jesús Almaguer, stated that this organization is going to sue those responsible for the recent blockades carried out in the Hotel zone, whom he accused of manipulating the “Mothers Seekers” collective.

“It is not possible for six people to collapse the main tourist destination in Latin America,” said the Hotel leader, who stated that he already has the names of the people behind these demonstrations, whom they will sue before the Prosecutor’s Office for the crime of blocking public roads. “They are inciting and manipulating these people, they are managing them,” said the Hotel representative, who said he respected the noble cause of this group.

Almaguer pointed out that hoteliers are tired of the suffering of innocent people being used to affect tourism, which is the economic engine of Quintana Roo.

“Those people are spitting up; If this is over, where are they going to go to demonstrate, to the jungle or the beach? ”She questioned. He added that the lawsuit will be presented by the Mexican Caribbean Hotel Council, but, if necessary, it will also be done personally.

It should be noted that, since last Tuesday night, members of the “Mothers Seekers” collective marched through the Hotel zone of Cancún, and the next day they blocked one of the lanes of Kukulcán Boulevard to demand the dismissal of a state prosecutor. A week ago, this same group blocked Cancún’s central Nichupté Avenue, in front of the oral courts, with this same demand.
